| It was a wet weather day. The boys were all determined to do well in their last game. The first quarter they all put in with only one goal scored to St Damians. The second quarter, St Damians broke free and kicked a couple of goals with St Marys getting one back through Eltham C. The top side just was too good on the day. |

| Great first quarter against the wind. Manned up well. Bundoora was a very large team. Second quarter we were beaten from the centre and our backs worked hard against the taller boys. The second half, all the team stuck to their players and the team plan. The last quarter the opposition team was kept scoreless and we were able to sneak our selves a great 1 point victory. |

Second quarter, they had the wind and we had a tough time but due to our back pressure, caused them to score points rather than goals. Great quarter goals Matt Watkinson and Jason Tanti. We tackled and led well again. Played well but the strong wind was too much in the end. |

| First 2 quarters, the other team with bigger boys were winning the ball out of the middle. Scoreless in the first half, the guys started the 3rd quarter with the wind. Strong play out of the centre meant we got more of the ball and kept them scoreless with a goal and 2 points to us. Against the wind we tried but the first half definitely was too great. Thanks to the 4 guys who played for the opposition. |

| St Marys won the toss and kicked down hill to what later turned out to be a 2-3 goal advantage. Unfortunately even though we had the ball in the forward line, we were unable to score enough. The second quarter and Camberwell kicked away. We were still in the hunt but had only 17 men and in the end it was too much. a great effort in the laswt quarter with a goal to Charlie showing they never gave up. |

| Parkside started well but the heart and soul of the team showed out with a fight back. Second quarter and Parkside had the better on the scoreboard but not the game. The third quarter and the guys were still in it with 2 goals making it only 2 points the difference going into the last quarter. With only minutes to go Parkside kicked the last 2 goals. With 11 points down, with seconds to go, Parkside kicked another goal. We were just too tired in the end and that was the difference. |

The other team were getting to the ball first and were rewarded on the scoreboard. In the second half it dried up but St Marys were unable to get rewarded for their efforts. In the last quarter we made some forward thrusts but did not capitalise on them. |

| With a 1-2 goal wind Macleod skipped away to a nice lead. We stuck to our game plan and hit back in the 2nd quarter. At half time Macleod was just in front. Third quarter and the wind picked up with Macleod taking advantage of the wind and making the most of their efforts. The last quarter and the lead was substantial, the challenge seemed to be too much for the St Marys team. |

| A frustrating first couple of quarters with the boys not able to convert their opportunities. We finally broke the drought with Sam R kicking a wonderful left foot goal. | The first wet weather day the boys have experienced as a team. The first quarter was typical of the day with a lot of physical pressure. The other team were getting to the ball first and were rewarded on the scoreboard. In the second half it dried up but St Marys were unable to get rewarded for their efforts. In the last quarter we made some forward thrusts but did not capitalise on them. |

| With a 1-2 goal wind Macleod skipped away to a nice lead. We stuck to our game plan and hit back in the 2nd quarter. At half time Macleod was just in front. Third quarter and the wind picked up with Macleod taking advantage of the wind and making the most of their efforts. The last quarter and the lead was substantial, the challenge seemed to be too much for the St Marys team. |

| Special night of training this Wednesday where we will be lucky enough to have some champions from Carlton, including past St Marys players Nick Stevens and Matthew Kruezer taking some drills and having a question/answer session - Pizza supplied in the clubrooms after training. | A frustrating first couple of quarters with the boys not able to convert their opportunities. We finally broke the drought with Sam R kicking a wonderful left foot goal. It was a big ask to come back from 3 goals down against a hard wind. The boys never stopped trying but were beaten on the day. |

| Second quarter - great team effort to come back from behind, then followed it up in the third quarter with great team work. Players manned up and we were rewarded. The last quarter they got the first few goals but we rellied with two late goals to snatch the game. |

| We were undermanned playing against the top team who had beated the last team they played by 101 points. The boys stood tall and one on one beat their opponents with great tackling and running play. Despite adversity we kept with them in the first and last quarter were beaten by a better side. |

| Footy's back! The boys have been eagerly awaiting this day, their first taste of real competition football. St Marys out played Camberwell when the ball hit the ground with our strong handballing, shepherding and run on football. But the extra height of the bigger sharks boys were too good on the day. |
