| What a way to finish the season. What was the highlight? Was it running through the banner, was it playing in the rain, was it watching Davo kick 3 goals, was it the fact that we won? It could have been all of these things or it could have been just watching a team of boys grow into a team of footballers. | A tough day with only 17 players. We all need to remember when playing with less men, we need to man up. We finished the game well with lots of run and strong tackling. | A great game of football. We played a great skills game putting together all of our learnt skills at training. Good calling of names and the one percenters. Shepherding and good kicks and marks on the chest. Great defensive effort against a very skillful side. Once again our run on game held us in good sted. We know who the winners were on the day! | A great team effort with some great individual games from some of our senior players. Noah, Jazza, Coen, Gedgie and Hall. Considering we only had 15 of our boys playing, we still were able to put together all of our team philosophies into play to be a winning combination. Our first week of playing solid halves instead of quarters! Well done Tackers Teal. |

| In trying conditions the boys performed at an inspiring level. Lots of run on football with handball the key to moving the ball quickly into a very open forward line. The older boys really showing there development and bringing the smaller boys into play. A great job by all and probably the best team effort of the year. |

| Our first wet week of football. Good to see that we stayed focussed with the exception of a couple of mud slides! A great game of football where all skills came together. Great corridors of play, shepherding and call skills in the wet. A game where the senior boys really worked hard and brought the younger boys into the game. A team of champions - looking forward to a stronger second half of the season. |

| Special night of training this Wednesday where we will be lucky enough to have some champions from Carlton, including past St Marys players Nick Stevens and Matthew Kruezer taking some drills and having a question/answer session - Pizza supplied in the clubrooms after training. | What a great start to the Tackers Teal season. The boys have already jelled together showing they know what it takes to be a team. Lots of one percenters including shepherding, tackling, the knock ons and smothers. We have a team of champions as talked about at the presentation of the jumpers. Can't wait until next week!
