Final Round of the Home and Away Season.
It’s hard to believe that we will be having our last round of the home and away season this weekend.
14 rounds have come and gone in what seems like the blink of an eye. All teams should be very proud of the season so far but let’s try and finish of the season with a bang. To some teams this will mean getting into the finals, others it may mean finishing with a win, while some may be content with having a great game or playing to the best of their ability.
Whatever your goal for this last round I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your efforts to date.
St Marys – Gala Night This Friday
Our biggest social event for 2013 is this Friday 2nd August. This is always a great night where we celebrate the success of the season and bid a farewell to our Top Age Colts boys.
To all those who have booked tickets the evening begins with pre dinner drinks at 6.30pm with the main festivities kicking off at 7.15pm. Make sure you have your dancing shoes so you can party late into the evening.
Major Raffle 2012.
Tickets to this years major raffle have be distributed via your team manager. This is the clubs major fund raising effort for the year and we encourage you to get behind the raffle and sell as many tickets as you can.
Prizes this year are again Cold Hard CASH!, with First prize being $3,000, Second Prize, $1,500 and Third Prize $450. The winners will be drawn this Sunday night at our big end of season bash. Make sure you get your tickets in to have a chance to win the big cash prizes. If you haven’t returned them yet you have until Sunday night.
End of Season Celebration – This Sunday Night
This Sunday night is our big season finale. All members are invited to come back to the rooms from 5.30. For those who have not made finals it will be a chance to get together to celebrate the season that has been. For those playing on it is a chance to let your hair down before the finals start.
Food will be provided free to all on the night. We will also be drawing the winners of our major raffle on the night and don’t forget the Joker Jackpot…we will keep on drawing chances until some lucky member turns over the right card.
That means we will be giving away almost $5,500 in total on the night.
This is always one of our biggest nights at the club and a great way to end the season on a high.
St Marys Senior Club – Sportsmans Function
The Senior Clubs Sportsman’s Lunch which will be held on the 10th August 2013. 12.00 -430 pm.
Tickets $100 per head which includes a 3 course dinner, beer, wine & soft drink and plenty of football memorabilia for sale and some great speakers including Wayne Harmes, David Glascott and David Parkin with Col Kinnear hosting.
Why not treat yourself and have a fun afternoon, watching the football from the St. Mary’s super box, whilst helping raise much needed funds for the Senior Club. Friends and family welcome.
