This week I’d like to make special mention of our Under 14 Green side.
After a loss in round one the boys have really started to gel well together.
They have now won the last 5 on the trot and sit on top of the ladder in what is a very tight competition.
These wins have not been easy, often against far bigger sides, with last week being the perfect example.
Whitehorse kicked the first 5 goals of the match but our boys never gave up…..they just kept coming and finally got in front with less than a minute to go.
Steve Leeman as coach must take some of the credit. He has the boys playing some great team football.

This Sunday Night at the Club – It’s the Under 13’s Sunday!!

This Sunday is the Under 13 Age Group night where we get the coaches and the boys up the front to talk about that round.
Pizza is supplied for the players and it’s a great night to get together and support the club.
We will also be serving Wedges and Dim Sims on the night.

Don’t forget the Joker Jackpot each Sunday as well…Last week we didn’t have a winner so it jackpots to $250 this week.  Grab your chance to win.

Ladies Night – 22 June 2013.

It’s now less than a month to one of the biggest nights at the club. Ladies Night!

If past years are anything to go by this is a fantastic night for the ladies of the club to let their hair down, have a few drinks, dance the night away, win some great prizes and take home a goodie bag.
Remember to put Saturday the 22nd of June in your calendar!

Bookings need to be made via your team manager.  Click here for more details

golfdayGolf Day – 29th June

The Annual Golf Day is again being held at the picturesque Growling Frog Golf Club.
This is always a great day and numbers fill up fast.

Enjoy a day of Golf, Food and a few drinks. Lots of prizes will be awarded on the day…not all to the best golfers.

This is a great day with all teams hitting off  “Shot Gun” style.  Golfers of all levels are more than welcome and we encourage as many of you lady golfers out there to come along.

St Marys Senior Club – Round 7

What a week for the Senior club with all teams registering stirring wins.

The local derby with Watsonia was a close affair with only a few points in it at half time. The boys came out in the third quarter and kicked 5.4 to only 2 points setting up a great win. With several injured players back we can expect more of the same moving fwd.

All three games are at Whatmough this week so get on down to support the boys.

Andrew Sacco
