VICE PRESIDENT FOOTBALL

Description: Sitting on the executive committee, and a pivotal role to the club operations, this person oversees all matters relating to football for the club including overseeing the strategic direction of the football program and working with the Football Operations Manager on its implementation.

Experience Required:  A passion for football and good general football training/game knowledge.  Good coordination, diplomacy and communication skills.

Estimated time commitment: Nov – Jan (4 hours a week mainly working with Football Operations Manager on coaching appointments and preseason arrangements), Feb to Apr (6 hours a week working with Football Operations Manager on coordinating teams, training arrangement, coaching group collaboration and prep, engagement with parents and players), Apr to Sep (2 hours a week engaging with Football Operations Manager, and attending to any major issues for attention), Monthly meeting with Committee for 2 hours. Ad hoc meetings with YJFL.

SECRETARY 2022 (note existing secretary will be assistant secretary for first year to guide and train)

Description: Sitting on the executive committee, this is a key role in the running of the club.  The role is in charge of the administration of the club and ensuring practices, policies and procedures are in place for the successful and compliant running of the club.

Experience Required: No formal qualifications required, but requires a reasonable ability to understand basic processes and use of systems (on the role training for specific processes, logins, systems etc)

Estimate of time commitment: Nov – Jan (2 hours per week supporting setup for the year), Feb – Arp (6 hours a week setting up team managers, putting other club measures in place in prep for the season), Apr to Sep (2 hours a week helping resolve issues and administration for the club running)

GENERAL COMMITTEE/ EVENTS SUPPORT

Description: Looking for people who are keen to generally help us out in setting up and running events for the club such as special events rounds, trivia night, end of year functions, photos etc.  We are keen to get several people on board so the workload is light to roster help throughout the season.

Experience Required: No experience required, just good spirited people happy to work with others to support functions at the club.  Note Responsible Servicing of Alcohol training will be provided for free if you take the role.

Estimated time commitment: Helping out with 3 or 4 events throughout the season which might be 3 to 4 hours each

FOOTBALL OPERATIONS MANAGER

We are also seeking to appoint a Football Operations Manager, this part time role works with the committee on developing and running the football program and reporting in to the Vice President – Football.

Candidate Characteristics

Someone who is a great ambassador for the club and embraces the club values, has a sound Football understanding and experience, with good organisational and administrative skill, and strong diplomacy & leadership skills.

 

Estimate Time Requirement:

10 hours per week. (likely to be more hours in the lead up to the season, and less during the season)

GROUP FOOTBALL CO-ORDINATORS x 3

Description: Sitting on the general committee these roles represent their age groups  and oversee the setup and smooth running of the teams in their age group, working with the Football Operations Manager and Team Managers.  Key role in identify Team Managers and Coaches for the teams where needed, team allocation input, supporting the coaches with football matters in that group of teams.

Experience required:  Good football and training knowledge and ability to work collaboratively with people, good communications skills and people engagement

Estimate time commitment: Nov – Jan (2 hours a week mainly assisting Football Operations Manager on sourcing coaches and communications to age groups), Feb to Apr (4 hours a week coordinating teams, training arrangement, coaching group collaboration and prep, engagement with parents and players), Apr to Sep (1 hour a week engaging with Football Operations Manager, and attending to any major issues for attention), Monthly meeting with Committee for 2 hours optional
