Round 2

After three weeks without a game and a first round loss we entered round 2 against last years grand finalist full of confidence, having worked hard at training in the last couple weeks on areas that let us down in round one it was a matter of transferring our practice into the game. The boys didn't disappoint coming out pretty solidly . I asked for commitment and effort and there intent on the footy and pressure on the opposition was terrific. We went into the half time break 13 points up. The third quarter saw us come out and continue our good work, our work rate lifted with some hard running and hard contested footy which saw us extend our lead by three quarter time to 22 points. Unfortunately we tired in the last quarter and we were over run in the dying minutes of the game. We may have been beaten but there were plenty of positives to come out of the game. If we continue to apply ourselves in the manner that we showed for the first three quarters a win is just around the corner. Don't be happy with three quarter efforts the game is played over four quarters. Having said that I'm proud of today's commitment to one another, let's be positive and continue to work at it, well done .
