Preliminary Final - 22/08/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Blue 7 .12 .54 vs. Doncaster 11 .14 .80

The boys started strong kicking 5 goals 2 points to 1 point in the first quarter. After that the opposition were hungrier for the ball and we were second to it. I hope this will make you hungrier next year. Good effort to finish second on the home and away ladder - well done.

We have 5 teams in the Grand Final next week, lets all get along to as many games as we can and support our great club. There will be a function at Greensborough War Memorial Park from 5.30pm on Sunday 29th August after the Grandfinals, this will be a huge celebration with yummy pasta, a raging DJ and all our Grandfinalists up on stage regardless of the result. Lets all get along and celebrate the end of a fantastic season.

Semi Final - 15/08/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Blue 5 .6 .36 vs. Fitzroy 7 .9 .51

Playing for a spot in the Grand Final, the boys were primed for a big day but we let ourselves down in the first half. In the second half we were alot more desperate for the ball and more competitive, just falling short in the end.

Round 16 - 08/08/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Blue 7 .9 .51 vs. Bulleen Templestowe 11 .13 .79

With our last game of the year and hoping for a win to finish of a successful year, our boys were 2nd in for the ball and lacked intensity and too many missed tackles. Simple things will win us games, but it wasn't there today. Bring a positive atitude to your first final next week.

The last home and away game was our last chance to get our game plan fine tuned for next weeks semi final. Without being anything fancy, it was a comfortable win and everyone contributed well.

Round 15 - 01/08/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Blue 12 .14 .86 vs. Park side 3 .5 .23

Playing for a top 2 spot come finals, the boys were pumped. After a scrappy start, the boys then flicked the switch and played the footy that has is in clear 2nd spot. Keep up the team orientated footy. Well done boys.

End of season celebrations this Sunday at Greensborough Football Club commencing 5.30pm. We have organised one of our own St Mary's players and Carlton champion Matthew Kreuzer to come along to say g'day to everyone. Food will be provided and everyone is welcome in what will be a fun night for all to enjoy. All club jumpers for any players/teams not playing finals must be returned directly to your Team Managerthis Sunday straight after your game. The club has arranged to have them cleaned & checked on Monday.

Round 14 - 25/07/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Blue 6 .10 .46 vs. Fitzroy 3 9 .11 .65

With top spot on the line, the boys were pumped for a huge day. The game was played with finals type pressure, it was close all day until Fitzroy kicked a few late ones. Well fought out boys, remember this, keep your heads up. Plenty of the season left to go. We move forward now to next week.

Round 13 - 18/07/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Blue 6 .7 .43 vs. Ashburton 1 .10 .16

Another important game against a side playing good footy. We started well but from then it was a close contest. In the end we got the points. We have a big game next week against Fitzroy, make sure you come switched on.

Round 12 - 11/07/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Blue 18 .16 .124 vs. Doncaster 6 .6 .42

Playing a mini final and for a top 2 spot, the boys were primed for a big game. From the start we dominated the opposition. We dominated on the scoreboard with 34 scoring shots to 12. A great effort today lads, keep it up.

On a very wet day, the boys adjusted to the conditions very well. We were first in for the ball and our tackling was fantastic. A very pleasing win in very trying conditions. Keep up the great work.

Playing in wet conditions, it took the boys half a quarter to switch on, onve we did, we put plenty of scoreboard pressure on the opposition. Another total team effort. Winning games like this gives the team plenty of confidence. Keep up the great work.

In another awesome 4 quarter display, the kids kicked their biggest score and biggest win for the year. With 10 goal scoreres for the day, the load was shared around. Let's take that into the next week and keep up the good work. Fantastic win boys.

Playing for second spot and Andrew and Brett's 50th games, the boys came out switched on from the start. It was a fantastic 4 quarter effort. When we were challenged the boys responded. We put plenty of pressure on the opposition all day and ran out deserving winners. Fantastic team effort. Keep it up.

Playing for a spot in the top 4, the boys accountability was lacking for the majority of the day. It was left to too few to carry the load. There was plenty of good work. We need to bring 4 quarters next week. Bring a good working attitude to training this week.

The boys came out today and put in another good performance. Unfortunately our 2nd quarter let us down. To our credit, we fought out the game and finished off well. Keep working at it.

Round 3 - 25/04/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Blue 8 .8 .56 vs. Kew 2 13 .19 .97

The boys were all excited about play on Anzac Day. We started the game well but intensity dropped off in the second quarter. After a bit of a rev up, they played the 2nd half the way we started. There were plenty of positives for the day. You should be proud of the way you ran the game out. Lets get another win next week and go 3 and 1.

With a really hot day, the boys worked hard for 4 quarters. We scored consistently over the course of the game. The boys ran the ball out of defence really well. Tackling was a feature of the day.
