Semi Final - 14/08/2011 St Mary's Under 15s - Gold 5 .7 .37 vs. Kew Rovers 9 .15 .69
St Marys we stand proud! Today was a terrific effort. We let ourselves down in 2nd quarter, where they kicked 5 goals to our none. We outscored them in the second half which was a very determined effort. This season has been all about learning and development, and as a group we have done very well. we have developed a mateship "culture" whereby all boys respected each other. Unfortunately, we didn't "taste the honey". But thats life. Lets hope we sell all boys back next year playing colts. Go the Mighty Burra. Thanks for everyones support throughout the season!

Round 15 - 07/08/2011 St Mary's Under 15s - Gold 4 .5 .29 vs. Boroodara Hawks 10 .9 .69
Today was a good effort but unfortunately, we didn't "taste the honey". It was a solid performance rather than being spectacular. We were right in at half time, but our third quarter wasn't at our previous high standard. We finish the gameoff strongly, our pressure and intensity was good. This gives me great heart for next weeks first semi final against Kew Rovers. We can clean our minds and come out and have a real mark. Lets all get to training and work hard as a team. Boys its finals fever time! Go the Mighty Burra!

Round 14 - 31/07/2011 St Mary's Under 15s - Gold 3 .6 .24 vs. Kew Rovers B 9 .12 .66
Today we didn't come out to play! Kew Rovers were all over us, first to the ball, hunger for the contest. I know we can't play any worse than today and that there is plenty of up side. The great thing about football, there is another week to come out and redeem ourselves. Let's get our steely resolve back, let's get our mojo back and next week let's "taste the hone" Go the Mighty Burra! St. Marys we stand proud!

Round 13 - 24/07/2011 St Mary's Under 15s - Gold 12 .7 .79 vs. Fitzroy 1 3 .11 .29
The game was accounted for in the first quarter - 6 goals 3 points. A scintalating start to the game we had a lot too prove! A Fantastic team effort, most players won their position. When the game became spiteful, we played tough uncompromising football. Today we played with great character and a willingness for the contest! I am super proud of all the 1 percerters that helped contributed us to "taste the honey". Got the Mighty Burra! St. Marys we stand proud!

Round 12 - 17/07/2011 St Mary's Under 15s - Gold 10 .6 .66 vs. Ashburton R 12 .8 .80
Today we played a great brand of football, our attack and contested footy was fantastic! We played a very well drilled side, who fought the game out to the very end! I was disappointed with the loss considering we were in front for 75 mins of the game. But I certainly wasn't disappointed in our effort. No easy game, must play the game right out to the final siren. Not all is at lost, we will learn from this and make us more determined and resolute! Keep heads up, let's all get to training and we will "taste the honey" next week.

Today we were switched on from the start of the first bounce! Kicked three quarter goals into the wind. Great display of team football. Great four quarter effort!! We have now beaten every team in the competition. Another great effort. When we put our collective heads together, we can shift mountains! I would like to wish Sam Hennessy, Seb Linssen and Andrew Burgess all the best for their Yarra final on July 2nd. Go the mighty Burra, unleash the furry! "Taste the honey"!!

Round 9 - 19/06/2011 St Mary's Under 15s - Gold 2 .6 .18 vs. Kew Rovers 8 .5 .53
Today was a tough day at the office. After starting off well, kicking into the wind, we didn't score at all in the second quarter with the wind, whereby the opposition kicked three. This put us behind the eight ball!! The third and fourth quarters were fiercely contested. Which was excellent. There is no easy game in Division 1 and we must be switched on from the start, or else we will play catch up footy. Keep the faith!! Lets all get to training, keep working hard and we can turn this around and "taste the honey" next week.

Today was a very important game for us, it was a crunch game and we did St.Marys proud! We had very strong mind set and we came out to play, the game was tough contested footy and was very spiteful. We played the ball and "tasted the honey!" Good luck to all the boys representing St.Marys in the Under 15 state carnival this coming weekend, we are right behind you. Go the mighty Burra and "taste the honey!"

Round 5 - 15/05/2011 St Mary's Under 15s - Gold 3 .8 .26 vs. Boroondara Hawks 8 .12 .60
Today we didn't come out to play! They kicked five goals to our one in the first quarter. Unfortunately we played catch up footy from that point on. Our effort and intensity was inconsistent for the match. This is an area which we must work on. Not all was lost, lots of good efforts around the ground. We didnt throw in the towel and we battled it out to the final siren and this takes courage. Lets all get to training this week and hopefully we will "taste the honey" next week. Go the Mighty Burra!

St Marys we stand proud! Today was one of the St Marys 15 Gold's finest moments. We played Kew Rovers and beat them on their "dung hill" for the first time in four years. If I could bottle the feeling after the game I would. When everyone works together and achieves a great result - its the best feeling ever! Today we 'tasted the honey'. Well done to the Mighty Burra! Round 3 - 01/05/2011 St Mary's Under 15s - Gold 8 .7 .55 vs. Fitzroy 9 .7 .61
The good thing about today was that we finished off the game strongly! We have a good fitness base, therefore good run. We only let ourselves down for 15 mins, this enabled them to pile on 5 goals. Mental toughness and concentration was the key in this area. We dropped our intensity, therefore dropped our performance! This is an area which we must work on to aim for a 4 quarter performance. Keep your heads up, lets keep working hard and we will turn it around next week. Go the Mighty Burra!
Goal Kickers:
Iacobaccio (3), Hamilton, Wolczko, Smith, Green and Shea

Round 2 - 10/04/2011 St Mary's Under 15s - Gold 5 .7 .37 vs. Ashburton 13 .8 .86
Today wasn't our day, we came up against a very good football side. Over the game we probably won 6 positions on the ground which made it difficult to challenge. Our efforts over 4 quarters were inconsistent. This enabled them to dominate in the last half. Not all was lost, some very good passages of play were done. Our attack on the ball at times was ferocious, however we must maintain this over 4 quarters to compete. Let's put this behind us and learn from today! Let's all get to training and keep working hard on the track and we will turn this around. Go the Mighty Burra!
Goal Kickers:
Luciani (2), Smith, Matthews and Hamilton
