Club rooms will be open from around 3pm this Sunday. Everyone is welcome back to the rooms to celebrate some Grand Final glory and to celebrate the finish of another football season.

DJ Tony will be playing tunes and foods will be provided.

Congratulations to the five sides who have made it through to the Grand Final this Sunday. We, as a Club, are already proud of your achievements. This Sunday is all about you team and doing something special together that can be long remembered – we wish you well – play hard but fair and whatever the result I am sure you will represent St Mary’s in true ‘Burra’ tradition.

It would be great to see as much support as possible for these sides on Sunday. So please try and get to a game wearing St Mary’s colours. I know they will appreciate the support.

Games are:
Under 11 Brown – Ivanhoe Park @ 10.15
Under 11 Red – Binnak Park @ 12.30
Under 14 Girls – Gordon Barnard Upper @ 12.30
Under 15 Girls – Ivanhoe Park @ 2.45
Colts (1) – Bulleen Park Oval 1 @ 2.45

Last evening, the League held their Best and Fairest Awards. St Mary’s as a Club was well represented in these awards with a few outstanding achievements.

Two of our Colts (1) players, Connor Kissane and Joseph Maggio made the YJFL Colts side of the year. Four of our Youth Girls players, Sarah Sansonetti (Vice Captain), Grace Dicker, Charlotte Mikic and Annie Xanthos made the YJFL Youth Girls side of the year – a special achievement and congratulations to all on a fantastic achievement.

Cooper Janevski from Under 12 Blue, Jessica Simpson from Under 14 Girls and Jessica Fitzgerald from Under 15 Girls took out the YJFL top award – a terrific effort and a stunning award for consistently high performances throughout the year.

Whilst these were the outstanding performances we had another eleven players who finished in the top four of their respective grades showing the evenness and depth of our Club.

Again, thanks to all the volunteers throughout the year. A Club like ours doesn’t survive without the hundreds of volunteers each week enabling us to put so many sides out on the fields each week.

Finally, as we support our Grand Final sides, a quick reminder that it is still kids footy. It is a game and we want to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for them.

Look forward to seeing as many of you at the games and then back at the rooms on Sunday.

Go Burra!!!!!!!!
