Round 15 - 09/08/2009 St Mary's Under 12 - Brown 1.6.12 vs. Canterbury 11.4.70

The boys started slowly and let the opposition kick 4 quick goals. The next 3 quarters saw our boys play determined footy which stopped Canterbury kicking easy goals. We played like a 'team' to finish off the season.

Round 14 - 02/08/2009 St Mary's Under 12 - Brown 0.2.2 vs. Surrey Park 1.3.9

The wind blew hard all day, making scoring goals difficult. Our boys showed fantastic courage. They gave their all and played hard, "fair" footy.

We would like to see every Coach:, Team Manager, Player & parents from all our teams who are playing their last game this Sunday at the clubrooms from 5.00pm on Sunday, so we can continue the St Marys tradition of getting each of these teams up on stage to recognise their efforts throughout the season.

A great win to a great team! Each player showed courage all day and believed in each other to run out good winners.

Best 4 quarter effort in a losing game. The boys never gave up, running out the game until the final siren. Keep up the great work.

Fantastic first half, went missing after that. If we play 4 quarters we will win a game. Keep the hard work going boys.

The first quarter was full of good tough footy from a switched on team. We tried hard for the rest of the game but St Damians were just too good.

A great effort by the boys against a much bigger and skillfull team. We tried hard all day but the ball seemed to bounce the wrong way everytime.

The Burras got off to a fantastic start in the 1st quarter, playing good hard footy. Unfortunately the boys went to sleep in the 2nd quarter and let Whitehorse take control of the game. Even though we tried hard for the rest of the game, we couldn't quite catch up.

Courage, hard runningand enthusiasm saw our boys take out the game. Everyone enjoyed working hard right to the end and proved to themselves and their parents that we are a great team!

A fantastic effort saw us record our first win of the season against a galant Glen Iris. Our teamwork and marking was the best it has been all year. Well done boys!

Another great win. We really do play good footy when we look for each other. James 50 games - great stuff. Just have to learn to play 4 quarters. Special thanks to Jack Prosser who helped us out from Gold, his tackling was brilliant. Overall great effort from everyone.

What a great win. Again off to a slow start. 5 goals down at half time, but we never gave up. We started to run in the 3rd quarter and looked for each other and the team work was outstanding. Well done to James, Alex C, Darcy, Mark C and Joel.

A very good effort by the boys. A slow start but after quarter time we outscored them. We found our running game again and at times looked very good. A great individual goal by James which really lifted the team. We are not far away from a win.
