Fantastic start to a Grand final with our aggression and pressure that we put on the opposition . We went into the quarter time break 1 point down kicking into the wind. We needed to work hard in the second and capitalize on our good work Unfortunately we let ourselves down by not having the same intensity we had in the first,and letting them kick 5 unanswered goals. From there the damage was done our second half was played in a spirited effort and we never gave up, we were just out played by a better side. To the boys thanks for the 2 magnificent years ,I've thoroughly enjoyed coaching each and every one of you.I look forward to being a spectator next year and watching with interest as you develop through the years.Get behind your new coach listen and learn and hopefully you will have another exciting year. To all the parents thanks for your support over the last 2 years it couldn't have happened with out you especially the last 2 or 3 weeks where the demand was a little more than normal.We've had some fun on and off the field probably more off and made some great friendship . Thanks to the Trainers Danni and Ronnie for looking after the boys. Thanks to the team managers over my two years Ronnie and Di for 2011 and Brendan for 2012.You have all done a fantastic job every time I needed an email sent it was done very swiftly,your time and efforts are very much appreciated. Thanks to bucks for all the miles you put in over the last 2 years,keep running champ. Thanks to the assistant coaches Over the 2 years Steve Philp 2011 and Mark Sturgess 2012 i appreciate your input and support , Wednesday night won't be the same. I will probably lose a bit of weight now that I won't be drinking all that grog. To Gavin Hosmer ,Rick Davies,Simon Rigoni,Grant Hannington thanks for the input and the stats that were taken ,the rotations that were looked after and notes taken,helping out at training etc.Anything I asked of you was never a problem. Excellent game against Hawthorn who have been undefeated all year. We upped our intensity from the last time we played them and stuck to our structure which was pleasing to see.All though the score board indicates a comfortable win to the opposition it was far from comfortable for them . We had them worried, and I think we got more out of the game than what they did . We find ourselves playing Kew1 who play well against us every time but if we bring the same intensity and attitude into the game as we did against Hawthorn I have no doubt we will have another shot at Hawthorn. Chin up boys you had crack and as a coach that's all I can ask for. |

Disappointing loss against a bottom side who really wanted to win the last game. Unfortunately it's not a very good way to lead into a finals series but we live to fight another day.Our first half was really good in the way we ran the ball and the way we were prepared to run and get numbers around the contest.obviously our second half wasn't wasn't what we would have hoped for but we will work hard at training , I'm sure we will be a different team coming into next week second semi against Hawthorn Citz. |

Disappointing result against the top side,we started well but then dropped away. The opposition are disciplined and are prepared to stick to their structure .We had some good passages of play but unfortunately not enough of them. We must play more as a team instead of having so many spectators and leaving it to a few player to Cary us over the line week in week out if we are to match it with Hawthorn. |

We were in control in the 1st half, but the start of the 3rd saw an aggressive Surrey Park who decided to be more physical with us. We responded well and matched them in the aggression which is very pleasing moving towards finals. Congratulations boys on working hard to secure the double chance. A great position to be in. |
