 A great win to finish off the year. We kicked 6 goals in the first quarter, from then on we controlled the game. Every player tried hard, and we handballed to position. Well done to all players, we were unlucky not to be playing finals.

 We played well from the beginning of the game, with a play on brand of football. We hand balled tom position and advantage, with long kicks a feature of our game. Once again our backline held up under pressure allowing the opposition in for only 3 goals. Well done to all our players, we showed great commitment to the ball. A great victory.

 We started well kicking with a strong breeze in the first quarter, only our kicking for goal let us down. After 1/2 time we had all of the play for the third quarter, kicking 3 goals 7 points to Ashburton 1 point. It was anyones game in the the last quarter, we kicked 2 goals into the wind. We played well and tried hard today, a little bit unlucky not to win.

 Under cold and wet conditions we came up against a more committed and determined opposition. they seemed to outplay us in all parts of the game, even though they were undermanned. We were fortunate enough to have a few triers who actually committed themselves to the contest, well done to those players. We must regroup for the next match and learn from today.

 Today we played the best team we have played all year. Our backline was under great pressure. If it was not for our backline effort and Lachlan Dwyers 2 steadying goals we would have been further behind. After quarter time we got back into the game, but Kew were just too good for us today. Next week is such an important game, let's lift for next Sunday.
