It’s round 13 this week and we have a special event to celebrate our 2014 Colts teams. This Sunday both teams will be wearing a special one off jumper that contains all the players names as part of the design which proudly supports the My Room Childrens Cancer Charity.
It’s a great way to acknowledge the boys, the great work My Room do and thank them for their commitment to the St Marys cause. It will also provide them with a memento to take with them as the move on in their footy careers. Both teams will be playing at Whatmough Park with the Colts 4 at 1.00 and Colts 1 at 3.00. I encourage all members to make the effort to get down and help the boys celebrate what should be a great day.
This Sunday Night at the rooms we continue the Colts theme.
The St Marys GJFC would love to invite every player and their family and friends to come along and chat about the days footy, have a few drinks and make some friends!
We will as usual provide complimentary pizzas for the players to eat. We will also be serving food for the adults at a very reasonable price. The bar will be open as well, so please make the effort to come down. There will be the Joker Jackpot – your chance to win $500 cash for just a $2 outlay or a Seafood Tray valued at over $100 donated by Fishi Business of Greensborough Plaza! The choice is yours. At worst if you don’t select the Joker you receive a consolation prize of a bottle of St Mary’s wine.
There will also be the Lucky Guernsey Number Giveaway. A number will be drawn at random and a player who wears that Guernsey number this season will walk away with a $25 Rebel voucher. That’s three chances to win something on the night!!!
Gala Dinner – Friday 1st August
It’s only a week away from our biggest social event for 2014 social calendar with the Gala night scheduled for next Friday 1nd August. This is always a great night where we celebrate the success of the season and bid a farewell to our Top Age Colts boys. To date we have almost 300 members, players and life members attending. A great effort! A huge thanks to all those attending. I am sure you will have a great night with the raffle prizes, silent auction and of course our fantastic band headed by Sam and Danni Gioffre.
As usual there will be a bus provided by the club which will be leaving from the Whatmough Park Rooms at 6.10 pm and returning at the end of the night. For those interested please let you team manager know this weekend so we can confirm numbers. Cost is only $10 a head.
Major Raffle
The clubs Major Raffle is drawing close. Please remember to return your tickets to your team manager. With prizes of $3000, $1500 and $450…this represents great value for only a $2 investment.
