Another solid game by the boys. Unfortunately didn't win the game but our endeavour can't be questioned. Great to see the boys playing and trying the things that we've implemented at training. If we can cut out the fundamental errors, follow team rules and capitalise on our opportunities we will win more games than not. Little things cost us today.

A fantastic effort by the group this week. After a disappointing round 2 result, being the best team all day and getting beaten. We entered round 3 full of confidence and started the game where we left off. In miserable conditions we played some hard contested and passionate footy. Clearly in the last couple of games we've started to play for one another. We went into the half time break 24 points up. We needed to keep momentum and keep up our intensity up but unfortunately dropped away and found ourselves 7 points down at three quarter time. I asked the boys for a big last quarter effort and it was fantastic to see their character put to the test and not except defeat for the second week in a row after being in control for most of the game. We've worked very hard over the last month and I'm very pleased that you've been rewarded with your first win for the year. Well done boys you only get out of it what you put into it.

After three weeks without a game and a first round loss we entered round 2 against last years grand finalist full of confidence, having worked hard at training in the last couple weeks on areas that let us down in round one it was a matter of transferring our practice into the game. The boys didn't disappoint coming out pretty solidly . I asked for commitment and effort and there intent on the footy and pressure on the opposition was terrific. We went into the half time break 13 points up. The third quarter saw us come out and continue our good work, our work rate lifted with some hard running and hard contested footy which saw us extend our lead by three quarter time to 22 points. Unfortunately we tired in the last quarter and we were over run in the dying minutes of the game. We may have been beaten but there were plenty of positives to come out of the game. If we continue to apply ourselves in the manner that we showed for the first three quarters a win is just around the corner. Don't be happy with three quarter efforts the game is played over four quarters. Having said that I'm proud of today's commitment to one another, let's be positive and continue to work at it, well done .

Unfortunately not a good start to the season. We were out played by a very good opposition side in the first half who were able to control and run the ball well. Our second half was much better and our intensity lifted in the third quarter breaking even by three quarter time. We managed to continue our work rate for the first half of the last quarter only to let the opposition get away from us in the later stages of the game.

Not much to say about today's game. Had a good start in the first quarter and cemented a very good lead and then our work rate dropped off significantly resulting in a loss.
