Today we played Preston at their ground which is a very big ground and our boys were very brave all day, but in the end we ran out of legs and conceded a few late goals to fall a little short at the end

Today we played Parkside in our last home game in what was a very tough contest. Again we played a much bigger opponent and had our work cut out for us but with GREAT SPIRIT we were able push them right out to the end. Unfortunately we let some late goals through in the last quarter, but all in all it was a gritty performance.

Today we played Fitzroy at their home ground and had a really committed team effort in a really good even contest. We tackled really well and used handball to our advantage in a great game. All players contributed but unfortunately we fell a few points short. 3 games left and if we can keep improving on all our little things we should have a great finish to the year. Well done guys.

A very evenly matched game today. Both teams had periods where they used the ball and the conditions really well and scored as a result. In bursts we played our best footy for the year with most of the team getting involved. A great effort against a well organised opponent who outnumbered us by a couple on the day. Another great game today. We played Heidelberg at their home ground and played probably our best game yet. Our team work was really good with all the boys contributing to the game. We played Bundoora today on a muddy track and I thought again the boys were excellent from the start, playing good, fair and aggressive football that enabled the boys to have a very solid result. Great games from Callum, Logan, Brodie and pretty much all the boys, especially young Lucas. Good result boys. Let’s keep improving!!

By far out best team performance today. Against a good team in testing conditions we played a very tough team orientated game. Good to see our team mates shepherding, blocking and kicking to good options. Great tackling from all our players and if we keep playing like that we’ll have a lot more good weeks. Well done boys.

A slow start by our boys today. I am not sure if it was the cold wet muddy oval or the fact the boys had to play 4 games today and were pacing themselves, but they were really outclassed early. Thankfully, after a short break, a sausage and a rev up from the coach, they fired up and started to mix it with their opposition. In the final two games the boys showed all their skills, commitment and tricks. They followed the coaches orders, played on, shared the ball and dominated. Well done boys.

Today we had 18 players and our opposition 25. We decided to include 2 Fitzroy players to our team, rotating them each quarter, to help make certain all their players got some good game time. We played 20 vs 20. The boys really enjoyed.
Today we played our neighbours, St Marys Tackers Black, and it was a tough hard fought game with lots of bumps and collisions due to the wet conditions. Our boys managed to kick a few goals but also let some easy goals through. With more training and games I'm sure we'll have a lot of good games to look forward to in the coming weeks.

Today we played Macleod at their ground and were gallant all day against a much bigger side (again) but eventually were beaten by a side that have been winning most games comprehensively.
