I hope you all enjoyed the first round of football over the weekend.
It has been a long preseason and with all the hard work and commitment by us all, it’s fantastic to see the kids finally play some footy in glorious sunshine.
It was very pleasing to hear by all reports that our four Tackers’ teams all had a wonderful day with the majority of kids playing their first game at our club.
We wish all our new members the very best in what will be a terrific year for you all.
Under 11 Black had a fantastic first round win against Richmond.
The boys battled hard last season & a win first up put a lot of smiles on the boys faces.
The boys are at home in round 2 against Park Orchards which will be a great game.
Good luck fellows, will be a great start to make it 2 from 2.
Under 15-2’s played a terrific game that could have gone either way.
A close game all day with the same scoring shots unfortunately seen our boys go down by 10 points.
Away in round 2 against Boroondara Hawks who also lost on the weekend, is going to be a ripper.
Well done boys a positive start to the season.
With mixed results after round one we need to stay positive as the first four rounds are grading games which will sort out all teams that will play in there correct divisions after round 4.
