Semi Final - 15/08/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Gold 5 .2 .32 vs. Kew Rovers 11 .9 .75

The group was defeated by a far bigger and stronger opposition but they never stopped 'doing their best'. A truly great season and esceeded all expectations by making finals in what is an exceptional age group. We were unable to get our running game going today. Well done to every boy!!

Round 16 - 08/08/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Gold 8 .3 .51 vs. Camberwell 6 .5 .41

A really tough win against very determined opposition. We were behind for the first 3 quarters but showed great spirit to hit the front in the last quarter. Even though we were far from our best. A great team effort to make the finals!

Round 14 - 01/08/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Gold 2 .2 .14 vs. Kew 14 .23 .107

Completely outclassed by top opposition. Our first quarter just did not get the footy and were second to the contest. The next 3 quarters we worked a little harded but still no run or carry or scoreboard pressure.

End of season celebrations this Sunday at Greensborough Football Club commencing 5.30pm. We have organised one of our own St Mary's players and Carlton champion Matthew Kreuzer to come along to say g'day to everyone. Food will be provided and everyone is welcome in what will be a fun night for all to enjoy. All club jumpers for any players/teams not playing finals must be returned directly to your Team Managerthis Sunday straight after your game. The club has arranged to have them cleaned & checked on Monday.

Round 14 - 25/07/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Gold 8 .6 .54 vs. Ashburton 6 .2 .38

Our best performance all year against the top side. We worked so hard in the contests and won our fair share of the footy. Our run and carry was outstanding and we continually broke the lines. Our forwards worked hard and our one percenters across the field was the difference.

Round 13 - 18/07/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Gold 15 .13 .103 vs. Macleod 1 .4 .10

A solid victory in tough conditions, where we had a very even contribution. Our backline again gave us great drive and our forwards contested well. The midfield group won their fair share of contested ball and our numbers at the contest was very pleasing. Well done but huge challenges ahead!!

Great team effort over the whole 4 quarters!! We worked hard and importantly ran hard through the lines. Great sharing of the ball and excellent decision making. The team's foot skills were exemplary in tricky conditions.

Round 11 - 27/06/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Gold 3 .5 .23 vs. Kew Rovers 10 .8 .68

A very disappointing effort by the group where we were unable to get any momentum. We seemed to be chasing more than being chased. We battled hard for patches of each quarter but our ball movement was very slow. A game full of good lessons.

A really hard fought victory in tough conditions against a top four side. We were down in alot of areas including kicking skills and our 'run and carry' efforts. When the game was there to be won, the whole group stepped up. Well done on a great month of footy.

The team's best performance for the season against quality opposition. We worked very hard through all 4 quarters and our running game was back to full flight. Finished the game full of running. A great team effort!

An excellent team effort over the whole 4 quarters. We won alot of the contested ball and were willing to run and run hard to the next contest. The whole group made valuable contributions and we worked hard in defensive mode.

We deserved the win, but it was far from a solid performance. A game of 2 halves and we did not make the most of our good start. Too many of our group were down and the work ethic very average. Still, many positives and plenty of improvement to come.

A tremendous victory against the top team. On the big ground, we rant hard for all 4 quarters. A very consistent effort where we won alot the first use of the ball. Every member of the team contributed and stepped up when they had to.

A great first quarter where we had alot of the ball. After that the quality opposition started to win their share and we were chasing more than attacking. We never stopped trying and many positives for the group.

Round 4 - 02/05/2010 St Mary's Under 14's - Gold 12 .11 .83 vs. Macleod 4 .4 .28

Overall, a really great team effort. Particularly the 2nd and 3rd quarters. We won alot of contested ball and we ran the ball into the forward line with quick movement. Our tackling still needs improvement but we worked hard when the opposition had possession. Well done.

A fantastic effort over the whole four quarters. Our tackling rate was excellent and our hardness at the contest superb. Against quality opposition we aran hard but we must work even harder when in defensive mode. Well done on a real team effort.

Great improvement in our intensity at the ball, and our tackle rates were great. We ran well when we had the footy, but our defensive pressure was below par. The oppositions counter attacks caught us unawares on too many occasions. Our forwards worked hard but did not make the most of opportunities.

We started sluggish and did not win much of the contested ball. We started to run more in the 2nd quarter and got back into the contest. 3rd quarter was back to our running best and an open functioning forward line. The last quarter again we were second to the contest and were not accountable. Inconsistent!
