This week we are celebrating the contribution of our Girls sides to our football Club. All the Girls sides have been fixtured to be played at Whatmough and Greensborough Park.

The Girls will be raising funds for the McGrath Foundation. The McGrath Foundation helps fund breast care Nurses right across Australia, making life for families experiencing breast cancer a little bit easier.  As part of this all the girl’s sides and many of the boy’s sides will be wearing pink socks to raise awareness for this important cause. You too can also support this by wearing pink to the games to support this initiative.

Sunday Night all members and friends are invited back to the Club to attend our traditional Girls Supporters Night. Two fantastic guest speakers have been organised. Maddie Coates Australian Commonwealth 200m finalist and Zoe Slatter AFL VIC Development Officer. These two speakers will give a great insight into their chosen professions and it would be great if we could have the clubrooms packed to hear their journeys.

This traditionally has been a terrific night supported by all sides so let’s make an effort to get back and support the Girls for this terrific initiative.

As with all Sunday Nights pizza’s will be provided for all children and a meal will be available at a reasonable cost for Adults. Rebel voucher for lucky jumper number and Joker jackpot to be drawn.

A couple of Reminders: Two of our Major functions are upon us.

Poker Night – This Friday Night!!!! – Tickets going quick however you can still purchase a ticket. $50 for initial buy in.

Gala Ball – Friday 3 August – This is a major event where we send our top age Colts and Youth Girls who have been an integral part of our club off in style. It is a terrific night to celebrate the season.

Hope to see you over the weekend and ‘GO BURRA’ and remember “It’s about the Kids”.
