Dear Members,

Family Day

Congratulations St Marys in what was an amazing day. Our first ever Family Day was nothing short of a huge success. Thankfully the weather was kind to us, making the day not only a pleasant one, but a day to remember.

All reports during the day & over the last couple of days, is that everyone particularly the kids had a ball which made all the work & planning worthwhile. Thanks to everyone that assisted on the day, your support is greatly appreciated by all.

Thanks to the coaches that gave up their time to enjoy being dunked. Thankfully the water was warm in the spa tank.

It was pleasing to see a number of kids participate in the Inaugural Burra Gift. Some great times over the distance by the older boys, but in particular seeing the younger kids get involved was priceless.

Special mention to our Senior Club that assisted & were in attendance on the day. Thanks to the senior players that assisted in some of the day’s activities. It was terrific to have you all involved.

A great day that has set the standard for future years.

We look forward in making this Annual Event a major day on our footy calendar.

Round 6 had some great results.

Under 12 Brown has battled hard over the past 6 rounds.
The boys have been competitive in a number of games, but unfortunately are yet to win their first game.
Last Sunday the boys were away playiing against 3rd on the ladder Park Orchards & just fell short by 3 points. What a terrific result.

A sensational effort by the team who have not given up – who continually keep working.
This week you should all be feeling confident playing at home have a real chance to turn the season around.
Good luck, stay focused -this is our weekend.

Colts 4 after 6 rounds are 2nd on the ladder, separated by percentage to Doncaster.
A great start to the season is looking like a promising year for the boys.
In tough conditions the boys had a huge 106 point win against Macleod.
This Sunday has set up a big game for our boys who are playing away to Doncaster.
Both sides playing for outright second spot.
Good luck fellows, this is going to be a ripper of a game.

With mixed results after round 6 we need to stay positive, focused and most importantly no matter the result, enjoy playing footy.
