As we move into the Queens birthday weekend where we have no games this weekend it is hard to believe that we are already half way through the season.

The season so far has had its up and downs but as a club we believe we are in a strong position for the second half of the season.
This is when the weather turns cold, the grounds get muddy and we experience what real footy is like.

I would just like to remind everyone that all positions at the club are filled by volunteers who go above and beyond what is expected.
Also this is Junior footy and in the most part, whilst competitive we should all remember we are not playing for the AFL. Lets ensure we all go out each week with the right attitude, encourage our players, respect the opposition and umpires and most importantly…..have fun!

Enjoy your long weekend!

St Marys Senior Club – Round 8

A bit of a mixed bag last week but certainly a great day was had at the annual Ladies Day Lunch. With over 100+ women attending it was a sensational day.

While the 19’s continue their great form with a strong win over South Morang the Reserves and Seniors both suffered losses to strong Reservoir sides.  The Senior game in particular was a close affair with only a kick in it most of the day with Reservoir only breaking away in the final minutes.

The Netball girls also had a mixed bag with the A team meeting all challenges getting over Thomastown A 42 to 15 whereas the B Team dropped from top spot to third due to their loss to North Heidelberg 17 to 19.

The 19’s have a week off with a bye while the Seniors play Panton Hill away. The more Teal, White and Black we can get to their games the better.
