A hard fought game with our boys trying their best for 4 quarters. Once again, our boys did St Marys proud by never giving up. They chased, they bumped, they took the game up to Fitzroy.

The boys strapped on their ice skates and went out onto the rink for the coldest morning of footy of all time. We were slow to start, but once the sun came out the boys thawed out and finished off the game really well.

We kicked the first goal in some great team work. But we came up against a very good and big team. At half time boys were feeling down, but they played better in the second half & kept them to 2 goals

We really took it up to the opposition, we attached the ball and played on quickly with plenty of run. Another 5 minutes and I think we would have got them.

We got off to a flyer and held our own for most of the match with some great team work and run. We never stopped trying.

Once again the boys never stopped trying, their endeavour was great. The conditions were very wet and muddy, but the skills were good when they got the ball. The other team were just too good.

We are improving our play through the middle and some confidence is growing. We just need to improve skills and stay in the position we're put in, not just chase the ball.

The boys didn't stop trying from start to finish. The second quarter with the wind was very encouraging. They Brought the ball forward more than their opposition. Their tackling was first rate.
