Round 1 - 29/4/2007 St Mary's 12.13.85 - v - Beverley Hills 5.12.42
A great season opener by the team. They did all the important things, from winning the ball out of the middle, to playing in front in the back line. A great start from the new players to the team and from all existing players, particularly Benjamin, Borg and Fowles.

The game was a hard-fought contest with pressure all day. Our poor kicking early, cost us at the end of the game. Good efforts by everyone, particularly Braggsy who rucked all day. The tackling was good and the endeavour was good by all. Highlights included Petrovski' kicking and Dinakis' tackling. Thanks to Roper & Dinakis.

Round 3 - 13/5/2007 St Mary's 8.9.57 - v - Doncaster Heights 8.16.64
The boys played a good game, being on top for three quarters. The backline applied good pressure all day, particularly Joyce, Derham & Perichon. Mo opened with a great first quarter, and the forwards battled hard all day. Moppa had a good first game back and all the mid-fielders ran hard all day. It is our second close loss and we need to be committed in the last quarter.

The team started well, without much scoring success. After a mid-game lapse, we finished strongly, only to lose a close game. The second half commitment was great, with improvement from many players. Pavey and Perichon were strong in the backline late in the game. Borg was great at centre half-back. On-ballers worked hard all day.

The boys played well in the first half, but failed to capitalize on greater amounts of the ball in the third quarter. The backline of Martin, Ind, Joyce and Hopper played well when against the wind, and Pavey showed courage with his head over the ball. Millett's presenting and kicking were good, as were Borg and Perichon at CHF & CHB. It is now time to stand up and be counted, if we are to play finals.

We were beaten by a much stronger opposition on the day. Although we didn't play well, the boys rallied for a stronger and more competitive last quarter.

Great team game - the boys stepped up a level. Hopper continues to get better; Plowman showed great commitment at the ball with second efforts. Martin and Joyce were great in defence all day and the efforts of Bragg and Barnett in the ruck were great. Bragg showed great aggression at the ball. Bissey played well and will continue to improve. Fowles displayed good body on body and contesting.

The team's hunger for the ball was great. The defence stood up well all day and it was only a short lapse and poor kicking which cost us the game. Bissey continued to improve. Petrovski was great on the wing. Perichon and Lynch were great in defence. Our on-ballers worked hard all day. Jessop showed great courage - many contests. Dai played an improved game. The job is to finish the season.

What a great game of footy. The boys played the top team and rose to the occasion. Their efforts were fantastic and they played consistent team football. We fell short at the end but not through lack of effort. We've now stepped up to a higher level for the rest of the season. Well done guys.

The team showed what they are capable of. The attack on the ball and tackling was sensational. The backline gave nothing all day, with great efforts by everyone. The boys played all 4 quarters with some good disciplined forward play. Thanks to Brownie for his efforts.

The boys fought hard all day but were denied by the smallest of margins. I was very happy with the continued attack on the football and the way they backed each other up. Many of the boys have improved as the season has progressed; particularly Pavey, Bissey, Plowman, Benjamin and Fowles. The backline once again were great, with Joyce, Borg, Martin, Perichon, Hopper & Derham doing a great job.

The boys played great footy; shared it around well. The team was very disciplined, playing in front and centreing the ball in attack. Plowman continued to improve and Martins drive into attack set up many goals. Smidge and Ostrowsky dominated the middle of the ground. minuz, Millett, Barrett and Bragg were great in the contested marks. The boys have grown into a great team.
