Semi Final - 14/08/2011 St Mary's Under 12's - Black 1 .2 .8 vs. Beverley Hills 5 .10 .40

We were totally outclassed by a stronger, more committed team today. Well done to the guys in the backline for a superb job. Our forward line and midfield however were well down all day. All in all thank you for a fantastic season. 10 wins - 5 losses is a great effort. Hold your heads high, be proud and lets go one further next year. GO BURRAS!!! P.S. Thank you to all the parents for your support throughout the season.

We didn't have much to play for today, but we were determined to go into the final series with good form. There were some great passages of play and teamwork throughout the game. Including the one percenters which are very important in finals. Well done to all you boys in making the finals, lets make the most of our opportunities 100% committment. Well done. Go Burras!!

Round 14 - 31/07/2011 St Mary's Under 12's - Black 4 .4 .28 vs. St Damiens R 3 .6 .24

It was a very important game for us today. We started the game with only 15 players available. One of my most memorable wins as a coach is what took place today. Real character comes out when a team comes from behind and you have your backs against the wall. Well done to each one of you boys. Belief is big in team and individual sport. Go Burras!

Round 13 - 24/07/2011 St Mary's Under 12's - Black 7 .5 .47 vs. Ashburton B 5 .3 .33

We got off to a great start with 4 goals in the first quater to 1 - playing in greasy conditions. However, we let ourselves down in the second quarter to be level scores at halftime. It was good to see you boys fight it out in the second half with some good hard footy which was lacking in the second. Fantastic to see the development of you boys throughout the year. As a group you are working for one another and most importantly you have the belief we don't stop here!! Keep it up, Go BURRA'S!!!

It was a very important game today and we had to prove to ourselves that we can be a competitive unit against these top sides. We played with alot of passion and spirit today and had some great passages of play to finish off with some nice goals. It's great to see some of you boys kicking on the opposite side of your body also which means you're taking the next step. Believe in yourselves and your halfway there. GO BURRA'S!!

Round 11 - 03/07/2011 St Mary's Under 12's - Black 2 .1 .13 vs. Beverley Hills 4 .4 .28

After a promising first quarter against the wind, we really let ourselves down in the second by not using the wind to our advantage. We worked really hard in the second half, but they were just a bit more intense than us throughout the whole game and that was the difference in the end. It was fantastic to see some great passages of play from you boys, some great individual efforts along with Ben Plunkett's personal best. Keep it up! GO BURRA'S!

Round 10 - 26/06/2011 St Mary's Under 12's - Black 6 .4 .40 vs. Warrandyte 4 .3 .27

Kicking with the wind in the first quarter we wasted alot of opportunities in the forward line. We realized we had a game on our hands and it was our hard work on the one percenters along with our team discipline - that was going to win the game. Credit goes to each one of you boys on how you fought out the game - especially in the last quarter with only 17 players on the ground. It was a courageous victory. Well done on your 50th game Bryn Francis. GO BURRA'S!!!

There is not much difference between the top and bottom sides in this competition. Can't win the game with one good quarter of football. Well Done to all you boys for your efforts in the 2nd half. Look forward to next weeks game against Warrandyte. GO BURRA'S!!!

Windy conditions today made the game a very difficult one to play. We worked very hard to kick the 6 goals that we put on the scoreboard. I was very pleased to see all of you boys step up to the play ager quarter time and work on our foundations which were the 1%ers. To all the boys, keep working at it and it will come to you. Go Burras!

Round 7 - 29/05/2011 St Mary's Under 12's - Black 6 .6 .42 vs. St Damians 7 .3 .45

It was a great challenge for us today to see where we were ar with the top four. It was a great, hard fought game to the end. We let ourselves down in the 2nd quarter but remained positive and worked hard in the 3rd quarter to be only 2 goals down. We hit the front in the last quarter by sheer courage and determination, only to see St Damians virtually kick the winning goal just before the final siren. Hold your heads high, believe in yourselves. Go Burra!! PS. Good luck on your 50th next week Josh Amadio.

It was an important game for us today and we knew we had to work hard for 4 quarters to get us over the line. Our focus today was on the one percenters, shepherds, tackles, smothers and they improved as the game went on. We can be a very good team when we put our minds to it. Well done to all you boys on your team effort. Go Burras!!

With only 18 players, we worked tirelessly for the entire game. I was pleased to see you boys never give up, but in the end we were beaten by a more committed side on the day. Go Burra!

Played in tough conditions we got off to a great start with 5 goals in the first quarter. It was exciting watching your linking up as a team. We now need to focus by putting together 4 quarter of footy. Well done to all you boys on a great game. Go Burra!!

after a long break it was back to business today. We got off to a slow start, but we eventually got our game together by half time. It was plaeasing to see some great passages of play come off. Keep up the good work. Go Burra!

We went into the game keen to make it 2 in a row, unfortunately we left our good footy behind today. We were beaten by a team more committed to the contests. It was pleasing to see us fight out the last quarter. As a team we will learn from this and as the season goes on we will improve. Look forward to our next game. Stay positive boys. Go Burra!

Great to get off to a good start for 2011. Team work was very high as to was the competition. The boys used the ball extremely well as a team and were very hard to all contests. Well done on our first win. Keep the hard work up and we look forward to the rest of the season "Go Burras".
