A mixed set of results from our first week of finals with 5 wins & 8 losses from our games last Sunday.

 

Commiserations to U13 Green, U13 Gold, Under 15 Girls-2 & U15-4 whose season ended last week, it is a great achievement to make the finals and you should be proud of your year.

 

Congratulations to U11 Brown, Youth Girls & Colts 5 who move directly to the grand final, best of luck and I hope you enjoy the week ahead.

It always a great inspiration for our players to see the sidelines full of Teal White & Black, if your years finished and you have some spare time please try and get to some of the games to support our boys & girls.

This Sunday Night the club is open as normal from 5:30.    I encourage everyone competing in finals to get back and celebrate their achievements, whether it has resulted in a win or a loss.  .   Food:  Free pizza for the kids from 6:30 as per normal strictly on a first come, first served basis & lasagna for the adults.   Raffles:  The Sunday night raffle has finished for the year, but Lucky Balls will continue over the finals series   Next Sunday night –  Our huge grand final celebrations featuring DJ Tony. 

 

From Around the Club.    Our Senior Club has made the finals & play South Morang in an elimination final on Sunday at Whittlesea Showgrounds at 2:10 PM.  If you have no junior commitments , I encourage junior members to get to Whittlesea to show the seniors our support.  Good luck guys.

 

The U12 & U15 Girls Presentation night has moved to Monday 12th September @ 6PM.

 

A reminder that their is a blue Boots for All donation bin next to the car park at Whatmough Park.  Boots for All is a local charity who donate or sell at a small cost second hand sports equipments to those in need.  If you have any boots or playing equipment that you no longer require please donate via the collection bin   Best of luck to all teams this weekend, may you try your best, play in the Burra spirit and walk off the ground, win or lose, with your heads held high, proud of your achievements,         Evan Butterworth President
